Lynn Burford, O.D.

Dr. Lynn Burford graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1990 after having earned a B.S. in biology from I.U. in 1986. She has always felt that the private practice modality allows the best opportunity to provide top notch primary eye care combined with truly caring, personal service. She first entered practice as an associate in a private practice. Seven years later Dr. Burford opened her own solo practice. In September of 2006 she moved to 10485 N. Pennsylvania Street. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Indiana Optometric Association, and the Central Indiana Optometric Society. She volunteers by providing free eye care at the Trinity Clinic in Carmel and participates in VOSH(Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) to provide eye care and glasses to people in developing countries. Dr. Burford is passionate about traveling, nutrition and gardening. She lives in Carmel with her husband Paul and their four cats.

Margaret Laurien

Margaret has her B.A. in Communications from DePauw University. She had worked in the optical industry for six years before joining our team in 2006. She is the first smiling face you see when you walk in the door and she is always glad to help welcome you to our practice. Margaret is an administrative marvel who will cheerfully help you with your questions or concerns.

Belinda Meehan

Belinda, Optometric Technician, graduated from Indiana University with an Associates Degree in Optometric Technology. Belinda is our technician and does a majority of the preliminary examinations. Her work background has included extensive training in contact lenses. She will guide you seamlessly and informatively through the pre-test process. She is also very patient in teaching first-time contact lens wearers insertion and removal.

Valerie LeRoux

Valerie, our optician and frame buyer, has an affinity for jewelry and accessories which carries over to her passion for the optical.  She views your eyewear as an adornment for your face and will reliably guide you based on your prescription, lifestyle needs, face shape and skin tone.  Valerie selects new eyewear for our optical boutique monthly, keeping our selection current and fresh! Valerie began her optical career in 2002, joining us in 2010.

Denise Rutherford

Denise, our optical lab coordinator and quality control monitor, works closely with our vendors, making sure we are current with the latest trends and technologies in the industry. She will also ensure that your glasses exceed your expectations! Denise began her optical career in 1991, joining us in 2010.

Helee Livengood-Adkins

We welcomed Helee to our team in July, 2011.  Along with her past experience in the optical industry, she brings to our practice her cheerful style and unique passion for helping our patients with their eye care needs.  She wears several hats in the office, working mainly as Dr. Burford's ophthalmic assistant but also in researching and implementing new ways to better serve our wonderful patients.
