Lynn Burford, O.D.

Dr. Lynn Burford graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1990 after having earned a B.S. in biology from I.U. in 1986. She has always felt that the private practice modality allows the best opportunity to provide top notch primary eye care combined with truly caring, personal service. She first entered practice as an associate in a private practice. Seven years later Dr. Burford opened her own solo practice. In September of 2006 she moved to 10485 N. Pennsylvania Street. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Indiana Optometric Association, and the Central Indiana Optometric Society. She volunteers by providing free eye care at the Trinity Clinic in Carmel and participates in VOSH(Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) to provide eye care and glasses to people in developing countries. She lives in Carmel with her husband Paul and their four cats.

Margaret Laurien

Margaret has her B.A. in Communications from DePauw University. She had worked in the optical industry for six years before joining our team in 2006. She is the first smiling face you see when you walk in the door and she is always glad to help welcome you to our practice. Margaret is an administrative marvel who will cheerfully help you with your questions or concerns.

Belinda Meehan

Belinda, Optometric Technician, graduated from Indiana University with an Associates Degree in Optometric Technology. Belinda is our technician and does a majority of the preliminary examinations. Her work background has included extensive training in contact lenses. She will guide you seamlessly and informatively through the pre-test process. She is also very patient in teaching first-time contact lens wearers insertion and removal.

Meredith Beavans

Meredith began her career in Optometric Technology in 1995, joining Dr. Burford in 1998. In 2001, Meredith left the eyecare field to pursue a BFA in Furniture Design and a 5 year apprenticeship in New York City. Meredith returned to Dr. Burford after attaining her degree in Furniture Design. Her artistic sensibilities carry over into her approach to patient care and eyewear design. She lives in Indianapolis with her family and is currently involved in the local art scene.

Alison Horner

Our optician, Alison, joined us in August 2009 after working in the optical industry for three years. With a passion for beauty science, she smartly assists patients as an eyeglass frame stylist. With Dr. Burford's lens recommendations and Alison's guidance, we're sure you will find the perfect glasses to enhance your features and lifestyle. Alison also keeps a busy schedule in Carmel with her family.

Valerie LeRoux

Valerie works closely with our vendors, making sure we are current with the latest trends and technologies in the industry. She will be certain your glasses exceed your expectations! Valerie began her optical career in 2002, joining us in 2010. She is also a certified massage therapist and lives with her family in Pittsboro.
